The Love Locations team recently made it to the fabulous Frida Kahlo exhibition at the Tate Modern, followed by a visit to the incredible House of Dreams in South London. Think Mexico meets India, with an explosion of colour, mosaics, sculpture and creativity around every corner. We left feeling completely inspired.

COPSE HOUSE – SW20

This beautiful, large contemporary home embraces a rich blue-green palette with moody oceanic tones and dark-sky hues. But don't be fooled – this is far from gloomy. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the interiors with natural light, creating a dramatic yet uplifting atmosphere.
The furniture collection is exceptional, while standout architectural features include a striking metallic staircase, elegant original Georgian arches and a contemporary concrete courtyard. The marble breakfast bar and open-plan dining space complete the look. With its cinematic feel, this home could easily have been transported straight from LA.

From the moment you step into the butter-yellow hallway, you know Greengate isn't afraid of colour. It runs through the house with confidence, adding warmth and personality to every room.
Peachy tones, duck egg blue and soft pea green flow through breathtaking period rooms with soaring ceilings and beautifully preserved original features. There are floral bedrooms, stripped-back bathrooms and, perhaps most unexpectedly, a bright yellow pool room complete with a striped ceiling.
My favourite space has to be the glossy sunshine-yellow kitchen. With its black and white chequered floor and subtle seventies influence, it's bold, playful and utterly memorable.
CASSIO – WD17

Cassio takes a softer approach to colour, proving that pastels can be just as impactful. The pastel pink kitchen sets the tone, complemented by delicate florals and thoughtfully layered patterns throughout the hallway and bedrooms.
A beautiful grey-blue has been used across the living room's arched cabinetry and shelving, continuing into the cosy reading nook with painted panelling. Upstairs, the master bedroom features pale pink panelling, while bold stripes, colourful accessories and carefully chosen furnishings add personality throughout the home.
DRAKEFORD – SE8

This South East London home has a fearless approach to colour and pattern. Bold monochrome graphics run from the living room through to the kitchen, where crisp white cabinetry is paired with striking black and white striped walls.
Then comes the surprise. The bedroom is a masterclass in colour drenching, with a bold yellow circle painted onto the wall and a vivid orange circle across the ceiling. The pale pink tiled en-suite introduces geometric pattern once again, while the styling throughout perfectly complements the home's confident design.
It's adventurous, playful, and the owners have absolutely pulled it off.
FABLE – GU33

This Hampshire home is a true homage to colour.
The living space combines raw textured plaster walls with beautifully stripped original floorboards, while a striking jade-painted traditional fireplace contrasts rich olive-green walls. The real showstopper, though, is the painted green ceiling, giving the colour-drenched trend a serious run for its money.
Furniture is layered with playful blues, bold stripes and a beautiful chartreuse rug sitting proudly on the parquet floor. Beyond the living room, every space offers a completely different palette. The library is wrapped in sumptuous mulberry tones, while bedrooms combine vibrant greens with yellow accents and soft powder blue treatments.
Every room feels thoughtfully curated and endlessly inspiring. If you're looking for colour inspiration, this one is absolutely worth a visit.
PURPLE HOUSE – SE4

Purple House certainly has some wonder walls. From its striking purple exterior to the pastel, Memphis-inspired palette and playful patterns inside, this home embraces colour at every turn. Lewisham certainly hasn't seen anything quite like it.
The exterior looks as though it's been transported straight from Milan Design Week, with bold patterns, shapes and colours making an unforgettable first impression. Inside, cleverly matched tonal shades of pale purple, mellow yellow, peach and pink are contrasted with oversized terrazzo patterns. Texture comes through beautifully too, from the ribbed pale yellow timber breakfast bar to the mix of geometric patterned and brightly coloured mosaic tiles. Round-arched and corner windows, all finished with soft pastel trims, add another layer of charm.
This is a spectacular house that surprises at every turn.
PARIS APARTMENT – FRANCE

The jewel in the crown has to be the Paris Apartment. It's a work of art in its own right. Worthy of an Almodóvar film set, it's absolutely magical.
A glossy orange wave wraps around the top of the walls, while purple and gold accents, neon green drapes and Barbie pink walls meet a chocolate glass-tiled industrial silver kitchen. The bathroom is equally theatrical, with sculptural green and cream cloud-embossed tiles, while magical little gardens appear in the most unexpected places.
Seeing really is believing.
